Street types (also known as street suffixes) are identifiers of street names and serve to describe the street. Some examples of street types are: street, road, avenue, boulevard, junction, crescent, etc.

How to write an address
- Write the recipient's name on the first line.
- Write the street address or post office box number on the second line.

I would like to draw the attention of writers and readers to the fact that the correct abbreviation of “street” is “St” and not “Str”.
A cul de sac is a dead-end street, particularly one with a circle for turning around at the end. The French cul de sac was originally an anatomical term meaning "vessel or tube with only one opening." It literally means "bottom of a sack," from the Latin culus, "bottom."

“Prefix directional” means a one-character compass point preceding a street name that indicates a direction. For example: north (N), south (S), east (E) and west (W). “Suffix” means a word following a street name that indicates the street type. See PCDSC 2.215. 050(E).
Here's criteria for naming a street after someone
- Individuals must have provided "extraordinary public service or some exemplary contribution" to the public and be associated with the community where the highway is located.
- The designee must be deceased or an elected official who is no longer in office.
Court (Ct.): A road or street that ends in a circle or loop.

However, in most cases, the street number is the number describing where a building is located on a street. It can also be listed as “house number”, but it goes without saying that businesses will not use this term when giving their address.
For numbered addresses, always use figures. Abbreviate Ave., Blvd., and St. and directional cues when used with a numbered address. Always spell out other words such as alley, drive and road.
